Cherry Blossoms Watch: Downtown Vancouver

Located around the Vancouver Art Gallery, the cherry blossom trees are just beginning to bloom!

The trees outside of the Burrard Skytrain station is another hotspot for cherry blossoms.

The weather has been absolutely GORGEOUS this long weekend. If I didn't have a midterm and a term paper due this coming week I would spend more time out enjoying it.

Cherry Blossom Season

Now that its "officially" Spring, I am on the hunt for Cherry Blossoms! Cherry Blossom season in Vancouver is usually late March and early April which unfortunately coincides with finals season for university students. By the time I am free from exams, the blossoms are usually gone. This year I am determined to catch them before they wash away for another year. I took the following shots on my way home from school.

Science Grad 2013 - Fairmont Hotel Vancouver

This week went by extremely quickly with all the end of term projects and graduation preparations. It is scary to know graduation is so soon and I am in an in-between state of extreme nervousness and utter relief. Science Grad was to celebrate the relief portion of it to say the least. Looking around at the event, I was surrounded by like-minded peers and classmates who made up a large part of my undergraduate experience at UBC. Some I met from the very first day of school and others throughout the past 4 years. When we are studying for exams, completing group assignments or working on labs we never really saw each other in our nicest clothes or moods but last night we all came together, dressed up and had fun!

The name "sojoo" roots from "this is so Joany". Somehow in my convoluted thoughts, the name makes sense. On this blog you will find a collection of photos from my every day life. Hope you enjoy and stay for a little while.
