Good Bye May, Hello June!

The last 2 weeks were quite busy! It's a good kind of busy though, I feel challenged and productive in life. Here's what I've been up to:

As of May 27, I am a fresh new graduate out of UBC! I don't think I will stop here though, I still have lots to learn! I'm so thankful for the experience and happy to have met all the brilliant people there.

This is a sneak peek of my developing photowall and a look at my first microscope. I used to spend random Saturday afternoons as a kid creating my own slides of eyelashes, insect wings, dust, and skin. I remember being frustrated because I couldn't "zoom in" more and I couldn't document it and show the world. Here I am 10-13 years later with a degree in Cell Biology and Genetics. Funny how things work out. I guess my desire to document things is why I starting taking photos in the first place.

I started off June with a hike at Deep Cove. The view is totally worth all the sweat/heat!

My friends and I sat on the edge of the rock looking down at the water. It was absolutely beautiful!

Victory!

Another thing grabbing my attention is the Summer Nightmarket. It is back again and so far I have already visited it twice. The theme this year was inspired by the Giant Rubber Duck in Hong Kong. There is always a huge crowd but the stores aren't that great. The street food is the only reason I keep going back and I suspect that is why everyone else is there too, hahaha.

One month until KOREA/HONG KONG! The countdown begins.

The name "sojoo" roots from "this is so Joany". Somehow in my convoluted thoughts, the name makes sense. On this blog you will find a collection of photos from my every day life. Hope you enjoy and stay for a little while.
