End of Term Laziness + Photo Dump

I mentioned before that my term was about to end...turns out I underestimated things and I still have until May! My life till then is going to be all about research, papers, studying and practicing. Fried rice with anything left over in the fridge has been my savior on mornings with clinical as I'm trying to eat breakfast and lunch at the same time. Not eating regularly will usually dampen my mood but the extra hours of sunlight is helping a lot. I am at the point of the year where I am getting lazy with project365 though. Hopefully it's a slump that will go away once I have more time on my hands.

In blogging news, I renewed joanytang.com for another year. I was quiet hesitant to at first but if I let it go I risked losing my own name forever (other people convinced me of this, haha). This means I've been semi-regularly blogging at SOJOO for more than a year now! I've noticed several new followers and commenters lately and I just want to high five all you friendly people.

  1. Oh yeah, I learned the hard way that I'd never be able to reclaim a domain name once it's expired ;A;

    Good luck with your papers!

  7. i love all your pretty flower pictures. and i know what you mean about domain names and renewing. i had withyoo.com for a looong time but i finally got rid of it and decided to have domain name for later. i wasn't that tied to withyoo so i guess that was an easier decision!

  8. Congrats on the blogging anniversary. How did you make the decision to own your domain name instead of just using a service like Blogger? (I'm wondering because I've considered switching) I'm a new reader here, but I think your beautiful eye for photography will have me coming back!

    1. The main thing for me was how much I was willing to spend and how much effort I wanted to put into building an online presence. I am still a poor student so when I saw namecheap selling domain names for 99 cents I jumped in and bought it. I've own previous domain names in the past but never were as cheap as 99 cents! I saw having joanytang.com as a place where I could build my portfolio in my own name (for fun of course, because I'm no professional), share my photos, and meet like minded people. It is still hosted on blogger though. It's the cheapest method and requires the lowest maintenance from me.

      Thank you Brittney. Nice to meet you!

  11. Good luck getting through the rest of your term. It'll be over before you know it. In my line of work, things get very busy too. Photography and blogging is an escape for me at times though and it works well :)

The name "sojoo" roots from "this is so Joany". Somehow in my convoluted thoughts, the name makes sense. On this blog you will find a collection of photos from my every day life. Hope you enjoy and stay for a little while.
